Here’s a wine that needs time to show its stuff, but it’s very good in its youth. Dark and thick, with strong dusty tannins, but a core of blackberry fruit. Cellar it until 2005 and try again. — S.H. (11/15/2002)
What We Thought: This firmly structured Cabernet has great color a full-body and serious tannins. It is young and tight with good solid fruit, a classic cedar and black currant nose and palate. Give this one 5 years or decant it for at least an hour.
