So ripe, it’s gooey in currant, cocoa and cassis flavors that have been lavishly oaked. This is a soft, smooth wine, with velvety tannins, and has enough complexity and nuance to merit its score. — S.H. (3/1/2005)

What We Thought: The classic Cabernet nose is dominated by cedar and cassis and accented with touch of cinnamon. The color is a deep, clear garnet and the medium-to-full bodied palate is rich and ripe with lots of blackberry fruit and very supple tannins.
