A Parker 90 for this excellent, easy drinking Zinfandel... this one reminded me of the Zins I used to love!

Frei Brothers Dry Creek Reserve Zinfandel 2007 Sonoma, California $20
We Bought a Bunch $16.99
What the Wine Critics Thought: Wine Advocate 90 Points

A super bargain, the deep ruby/purple-tinged 2007 Zinfandel exhibits a spicy, flowery bouquet of blue and red fruits, gritty/robust flavors, abundant fruit, and an exuberant, lively finish with no hard edges. The alcohol is relatively restrained for a Zinfandel, and the wine is seamlessly constructed. Drink it through 2012.

What We Thought: This full-bodied Zin has an expressive nose of spicy, ripe plums and more ripe plum and brambly dark fruit on the palate along with ultra soft tannins that make this about as smooth a Zinfandel as you are going to find. If you are a Zin fan, don't miss this one....
