What the Wine Critics Thought: Wine Spectator 89 Points
Lots of high-toned vanilla and mocha, with ample black cherry and currant fruit to back it up. Rich yet supple, with toast, coffee and mineral notes on the finish. Drink now through 2005.

What we thought: The wine begins with aromas of dark chocolate, cedar and black currant and moves to a smooth, medium-bodied palate that features more dark chocolate and lots of rich blackberry fruit finishing with supple, slightly dusty tannins.
