A third winning vintage in a row for this excellent Cabernet...
Marques de Casa Concha Cabernet Sauvignon 2002 Puente Alto, Chile $15
What the Wine Critics thought: Wine Spectator 89 points
Very solid beam of raspberry and black currant fruit here, caressed by sweet toast, cocoa and smoke notes. Hints of loam and tar on the finish, which is juicy and ripe. Delicious and should age nicely in the short term as well. Drink now through 2005.
What We Thought: Classic Cabernet aromas of blackberry, cassis and cedar lead to a smooth, silky palate with plenty dark blackberry fruit supported by supple but plentiful tannins.
