Extremely ripe, with notes of blackberries, cream de cassis, and new oak, it is opulent, rich, viscous, and full bodied, with gorgeous fruit as well as a long finish. An amazingly serious wine. Drink over the next four to six years. What we thought: Bigger and softer than most French blends, this wine has plenty of ripe, blackberry scented, forward fruit but retains its character with enough tannic structure to remind you that it's serious wine. A tremendous value for $15!
