Nice focused blackberry, bramble and brier notes here, with dark chocolate and judicious toast coming in on the finish. Fleshy and well-built. Drink now through 2004.

What we thought: Leads with a Merlot-like blackberry nose leading to an exceptionally soft palate with lots of nice fruit and almost no evidence of tannins. Pleasant and drinkable, this is Cabernet for people who don't like Cabernet.
