What the Wine Critics Thought: Wine Advocate 90+ Points
The 2006 The High Trellis Cabernet Sauvignon includes 5 percent Petit Verdot and 5 percent Merlot in the blend. The nose offers up cassis and violets along with pepper and earth notes. On the palate, black fruits dominate the nicely concentrated flavors. There is enough structure for 2-3 years of additional bottle age. It will be at its best from 2010 to 2017.

What We Thought: Aromas of candied blackberries and cedar cigar box are followed by a ripe, thick, full-bodied palate with gobs of robust blackberry fruit and light supple tannins. This is big wine for big food... we had it with homemade Hungarian Goulash and it was outstanding!
