Yangarra Estate Cadenzia 2006 McLaren Vale, Australia

Suggested Retail: $25, We Bought a Bunch: $9.99

I was a little suspect that this Aussie blend might be over the hill, but it is drinking great! And, it's a great deal! Only 12 cases...

What the Wine Critics Thought:
Wine Spectator: 91 Points

Bright and jazzy, offering a riot of flavors, including plum, blackberry, floral and licorice notes that swirl through the finish against fine tannins. Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvèdre. Drink now through 2014. –HS

What We Thought: This Aussie Rhône-style blend has a big, brambly dark fruit nose and a thick, full-bodied palate of spicy, black cherry and blackberry fruit and supple tannins that are remarkable for a wine of this age. Drink this over the next year.
