Garlic Shrimp Tapas

This wonderful, easy Tapas recipe comes to us from reader James Kromer. Try this with a nice bottle of Spanish Rioja or a chilled Manzanilla Sherry. Actually, we had it for lunch with Riesling on a rainy Sunday afternoon while we watched a subtitled Spanish movie....

Serve this with toasted french bread as an appetizer. The shrimp are there for show — this is all about the sauce.

1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
6 cloves garlic, chopped
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons Manzanilla Sherry (Wine Guy note: real sherry, not the salty cooking stuff)
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon sweet paprika

Mix oil, salt, pepper, paprika, lemon juice, sherry, and red pepper in a skillet. Add chopped garlic and sauté until golden. Add shrimp and sauté until cooked through (about 3 minutes).
