Microwaved Corn on the Cob

Ingredients:

Fresh corn with husks on

Preparation:

Cut top of ears off and trim bottom so it is flush with the ear of corn

Remove one layer of husk and rinse ear in cold water or let them sit in an inch or so of cold water for a few minutes 'til husks are moist.

Arrange a few paper towels in microwave and place corn on top. Microwave uncovered on high using the following as a guide:

1 ear 2 to 3 minutes
2 ears 4 to 5 minutes
4 ears 6 to 7 minutes
6 ears 8 to 9 minutes

Halfway through, rearrange ears moving outside toward center and vice versa. Remove ears from microwave and let stand 3 or 4 minutes. Let everyone shuck their corn at the table (have a paper bag handy for husks).

Note: Cooking time will vary with size of corn. Err on the undercooked side. You can always stick it back in for a few more seconds. If you need more than 6, do them in batches.
