Skillet Cranberries

This very simple recipe for cranberries actually came from a Fireplace Cooking Class at Conner Prairie many years ago and was shared with me by a friend. It is easy and wonderful!

Ingredients:

12 ounce package fresh cranberries
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup brandy

Preparation:

Put cranberries and brown sugar in a skillet. Cover and cook over low heat until cranberries pop and sugar dissolves, stirring occasionally. Add brandy and cook uncovered uintil mixtures thickens slightly. It will continue to thicken as it cools, so don't overcook.
