Suggested Retail: $33, We Bought a Bunch: $23.99

We were able to land this directly from the importer in Chicago for a savings of almost 30%... A 92 point White Burgundy is actually a deal at $33, at $23.99 it's a steal!

What the Wine Critics Thought: Wine Advocate: 92 Points
The 2008 Macon-Villages Quintaine is 100% Chardonnay put through malolactic fermentation. Even better, no doubt because it’s had an extra year of bottle age to give it some complexity. Coming from 45-year-old vines, this wine has an expressive nose of green apples, sweet, exotic melons, white peach and buttered citrus. Medium to full-bodied, with great acidity, loads of minerality, and a hint of tropical fruit in the mouth, this wine, like its younger sibling, the 2009, should be drunk over the next 2-3 years. This estate has been biodynamically farmed for 20 years, which is impressive.

What We Thought: A nose of citrusy lemon custard lead to a well balanced, refreshingly crisp palate of bright apple and lemon flavors supported by some lively acidity that promises improvement in the cellar over the next year or two.
