Domaine Schlumberger Pinot Gris Les Princes Abbés 2009 Alsace, France

Suggested Retail: $20, We Bought a Bunch: $16.99

What the Wine Critics Thought: Wine Spectator: 91 Points
Hints of smoke, lemon curd and fresh forest floor add layers of complexity to the flavors of white peach, pink grapefruit and spiced orange peel in this elegant, well-cut white, which offers fine focus and a silky texture, with a tangy, mouthwatering finish. Drink now through 2019. 1,200 cases imported. –AN

What We Thought: An extremely fragrant nose of apricot, orange peel and honeysuckle precedes a palate that is ripe, viscous and filled with bright stone fruit flavors supported by a fresh streak of acidity. Drink this now or let it mature for three or four years... it's only going to get better.
